Nyx Wonder Pencil (Light): Review & Swatch

A "wonder pencil" sounds very appealing doesn't it? When something claims to be multi use, and it is affordable(~$3) almost seems too good to be true.  Non retractable, wood pencil.
Dry textureBlendable, so blendable it blends awayDoesn't conceal spots wellDisappears as soon as placed on my waterlineOnly purpose that sort of works is sharpening edges of a lip, but even then it can be a bit difficult to blend in or conceal the sides Overall, I say skip it. The idea behind it is good but a liquid concealer and a nude eyeliner are much better. Or if you want a concealer type pencil try a matte eye crayon. The ]ordana made to last shadow pencils are much creamier and cover better.

Elf Moisturizing Lipstick in Rosy-Go-Round: Review & Swatches

This  is a $3 lipstick from e.l.f that claims big things.
Claims:  "Velvety, satin texture glides on lips with vibrant color and luminous shine."  "Enriched with Shea and Vitamins A, C, & E to nourish and hydrate the lips." "The rich, creamy formula seals in moisture for long-lasting wear and comfort."
Lipstick tube comes wrapped in cardboad displaying color name.  "Rosy-Go-Round" is the shade name. Layered a few times for vibrant color. Does glide easilyVery waxy, not creamy feelingBuildable colorSatin, not glossy finishNo scentSits on the lips, doesn't hydrate but also doesn't dry out the lipsBright rose color

Nyx Fortune Cookie Butter Gloss: Review & Swatches

Butter glosses, the favorite among youtubers. I have heard the lighter shades are not as good and let me tell you why. These retail for only about $4, and nyx can be found at Ulta, Target, CVS, locations to name a few.  Round tube packaging.  Doe-foot applicator.  Slightly peachy-brown toned nude. Lip swatch.  Very patchy on it's ownDoes even out and look better as a lipstick topperFeels more like a balm then a gloss on the lipsNon sticky, but hair does still stick! Not long wearing since it has no tackiness Formula is wonderful, this color not so much.

L'oreal Glossy Balm in My Babydoll: Review + Swatches

I bought this as soon as it came out since I love chubby lip pencils. This one's main claim is that is is a glossy balm. These got a bit of hype when they came out, but none since. I only bought one shade, at Target, for around $6. Standard tube in the color of the product, with silver accents.  Slightly pinker than the tube color, more cool toned.  Sheer and then a layered swatch.  When wiped away it only just barely leaves a stain behind. Lip swatch. It is very glossy, and that finish does not seem to disappearSince it is glossy, it does not set...which can lead to getting on your teeth It is a lovely cool toned baby pink, the shade range is wonderfulNot longwearing, really only wears the short length of a balmCan leave the weird ring around the center of your lips...No scent, but it does have a slick texture

Sephora 10hr Foundation (ivory): review

Some hyped products just don't work out for everyone...I had heard this was a good (even longwearing) foundation, and they had a shade seemingly light enough for me. It is probably the least expensive foundation in sephora, only $20.
Pump bottleThick, creamy consistency This particular shade is very yellow toned, one up is very pink. They seem to be extreme in undertone, even though it claims to be neutral. Not full coverage, light-medium. Does not cover any blemishes.Dewy finishNot extremely long wearing (not 10hr)Does not contain an SPFDid not include a picture of me wearing this foundation since it really did not flatter my skin. I have returned this foundation since it did not work out for me. If you have great skin and can find your color match I would recommend it since it is only $20 which isn't too bad for foundation.

Jesse's Girl Mineralized Baked Powder Eye Shadow (Rosemary Frost): Review & Swatches

This eyeshadow was a gift from one of my friends,  and at first glance I thought I wouldn't like it.  It is a domed baked eyeshadow, with different color veining.  It is in the color "rosemary frost" It looks like a blue toned purple, in the pan. It is actually a lilac/ lavender light purple. It has a sheen and small glitters. Sheer colorGreat over a base or with a fix+ type enhancerNot chalky but not creamy, overall dry texture It is an okay product, but nothing super special.

L'Oreal Infallible Lipstick in Perpetual Peach: Review & Swatches

I have been going back and forth with my opinions on this products, but I am here now to give you my opinions. This is from a newer line of lipsticks from L'oreal and it retails for around $8 (I think). The cap is tinted to be similar to the actual lipstick color. Sheer swatch. Layered swatch. Lip swatch. Shimmer almost frost finishMakes lips look fuller due to the the shimmerNot extremely long wearing, has an average wear timeNot the standard L'oreal lipstick scent, it has little to no scent at allI don't reach for it often, but I do really like it when I wear itSince it is not matte it can disguise dryness on your lipsI love wearing this lipstick with a peachy blush, and dark green or neutral brown toned eyeshadows

Jordana FabuLiner: Review & Swatch

We have all heard of the stila stay all day liquid liner, and the Kat Von D liquid liner.  I was hoping this ~$3 liner would be a dupe.  Its in a pretty standard tube with standard packaging. It just says liquid liner meaning it is not waterproof. It has a wide and thick tip that does not bend easily, you can't drag while lining you have to set it on its side and press it on.
Swatches nice and black. Cap clicks closedThe tip is to hard to use on eyes unless in a certain technique by "stamping"Very affordableNot waterproof Overall, I say pass on this. Splurge a bit for a more high end one like stila. The more expensive ones have a finer tip that doesn't tug on the eyes, and they are usually waterproof. I am not a pro at using liquid liner, but especially for beginners I ind that this just makes it more difficult.

Milani Uptown Mauve Color Statement Lipstick: Review+Swatches

Lipstick is an amazing thing, and when done right it is fabulous! I have heard so many good things about these Milani lipsticks. I picked this up a few weeks ago, and it made it into my top 5 lipsticks post on Instagram(budgetmakeupbeauty). This line of lipsticks only cost around $5 each, and as  for the quality it is hard to believe! Sheer swatch Layered swatch Leaves a stain when removed Lip swatch  (Ignore my skin, whatever foundation I was testing made my skin look very dry) Very long lasting, even stains the lipsUnique purple-pinkA non season related colorLux gold packagingNo bad things to say, other than can be hard to locate this brand(for me)

Maybelline Vintage Plum Color Tattoo: Review and Swatch

I'm finally going to get back into the blogging spin of things, and that means posting reviews with old images in my old background. Because of this I have had this Maybelline color tattoo for quite a while now, I bought it the first time I saw it new in store. It is part of the leather line. Above shows swirled together, and below is a swatch. It is a dove grey type color with a soft hint of purple.  By the name "vintage plum" I was expecting a darker purple,  but I guess it means vintage as in washed out. Matte, no shimmer, formulaLong lasting eyeshadow base, or lid colorLooks nice topped with purples or smokey colorsIt is permanentAffordable price tag

Tarte Energy LipSurgence: review & swatches

I have had this for a while now and I think I should probably share my thoughts by now. It retails for $24 and is an adjustable lip stain. Twist up chubby pencil. Mine broke the first time I used it, even though I didn't apply a lot of pressure to the product .  Goes on clear and then adjusts, it turns a bright pink on me. Can still see a bit of natural lip color below.
It has a very intense stain but at the end of the day it looks quite patchyStarts glossy then stainDoesn't dry out lips, feels like a balmLovely color but because it turns patchy I don't recommend
